Spektrum DX8 vs NX10 - I'm upgrading!

I decided to upgrade my Spektrum DX8G2 to the new Spektrum NX10 and did this comparison video before I sold the DX8.

Better check the bnf templates I crashed my 230s heli & Tom from Horizon Hobby told me how to fix it in the tx, & I had to reprogram my 330s so watch out but nice tx & great video.

Does the NX 6 satisfy most requirements for most BNF planes from Horizon? Been looking at a used DX8 or for almost same money a used NX6. Is six channels enough? for a plane that also has flaps and gear

funny you mention cold. My dx8 went haywire in 18F degrees while flying. Its now broke. Turns off and on rapidly. Ill fix it and use as backup. Im using my dx6 for backup right now but looking at either nx10 or ix12. The one thing I would like to get away from tho is the menu configuration and using the scroll wheel.

DX display is really a pain when you reach 0°C, first time I thought it was broken.
You were satisfied with your Radiomaster, except ease of configuration is there anything that the NX10 does it better ?
Did you try your Radiomaster with a BNF HH plane and do you get all the telemetry ?

One thing Lapeos, the NX10, I believe, has magnetic joysticks rather than the analog or brushed ones in the NX6-8 & DX series.

Great comparison, why you upgrade to NX10 if you have already Radiomaster TX16S? Multi protocol and DSMX. I have DX6 but looking to upgrade to more channels, what you recommend for planes and helicopters.

Someone gave me a DX8 that's in pretty good condition. I fly quads and run ELRS. Does anyone know how I can wire up a ELRS module to the DX8? If not, any suggestions where to sell it? I'm in Seattle. Ebay?

Nice video and comparisons. How is it going with the NX10 after 1 year?
I am just learning with some kinda RTF trainer glider that includes a 4ch radio in the bundle, but I ordered a NX10 as my 1st decent radio for future models and for use it with simulators, maybe a bit overkill as 1st radio. I guess that I would have the same problems with a DX in winter, i didn't know about that before see your video.

Most of the guys at my club have a lot of radios included some spektrum that I could bind together for training. DX series is kinda discontinued and all you find are the DX6e-DX8e (that don't have voice alerts) so I though that invest in a more futureproof NX10 was the way to go, enough channels and nice extras like the big rechargeable battery, wifi, voice alerts ad so on. I hope this radio will serve me for a very long time. Even the veteran guys with Futaba/Jeti/Hitech that own few spektrum only for fly some foamy horizon hobby models told me "go Spektrum, it's cheaper, receivers are cheaper and you will be fine".

An included case would be nice, but I guess I'll look for some kind of skyddväska at Jula or something, their spektrum metal case is out of stock everywhere in Sweden.
The NX10SE has a case included in the box, but the 250 bucks msrp price gap is absurd imo.
