Auto generated thumbnails would be so epic. I am not the best at making thumbnails I like focusing on the content.

What’s up Andrew. As a gaming youtuber I agree with you as you discussed YouTube having trouble pulling a thumbnail from the content I create. Small game play with a cannon the corner. Giving youtube the option to whose would mean I would need to spend the time creating the artwork and have it potentially not be used at all. So that to me is not ideal. I’m not sure what here would be best but I will assure you I am going to be on top of the trend whatever it may be. Thank you for another informative video. 🦄

Honestly I will welcome the end of clickbait thumbnails. But not at the lack of creator choice for the thumbnails. I'll take the worst clickbait over having no choice in thumbnails.

So if they are testing it, would it be best to change thumbnails now? According to a talk at Vidcon about Algorithms, it is good to review your thumbnails after 30 days to change. So would doing the automatic thumbnails be a smart move for now, and in 30 more days after see where everything is at?
