How I make comic panels in Clip Studio Paint!
Note: You CAN continue to use the panels in the folder as they're created, but I personally prefer them just being just lines and not having anything fancy. YMMV!

Can you please do an in depth tutorial on how you specifically panel in CSP? I love the look of your panels, and they’re so versatile!

This. This tiny short video is what i needed. I’ve been trying all the premise and trying to draw them myself with the pen tools and somehow missed this was even a thing this whole time. God. Send. Thank you 🙏

That was a godsend lol. My dumbass kept making individual panels and banging my head against the desk to keep that spacing consistent. I guess I’m just stupid lmao.

Also that rasterize option is super useful.

If I could like this twice I would. Thanks a whole lot.

Oh my god, thank you. Every other tutorial I found was at least 10 minutes long and just a lot of 'settings' talk that went over my head.

Very helpful. The biggest issue I've ever had though is that I just never ever know how to lay out my comics. I mean it doesn't matter that much, since I don't draw anymore, but, still. It's something I was never able to understand.

it's more than just that. its a language. why do you choose a panel structure? what are your goals? examples? how does the panel structure accomplish them?

Ugh, I've been struggling with the frame border tool as someone who likes to draw things breaking out of the borders, and this is a godsend!! I feel silly for not thinking of it before. Thank you!!

Me who uses krita: well, when we tap on the comic template, it gives us the boxes all ready for us along with the layers. One layer let's you crop the boxes. I use them at times, though not a whole lot.

So I can make squares. I wanna know how to make them. Like how do you decide to frame a panel? How do you make them appealing visually but having them intersect and overlap? How do you know when to do what for a scene? Do you just wing it?

How do you plan out your borders do you draw the images first then make a border that best fits them? Or do you draw the borders first and then draw within the borders.
