Perfect timing! I just agreed to make a comic about me and my friends, because over the years we developt a weird roleplay story and I am the artist of our group.

That was probably the easiest to follow tutorial I've seen on how the whole process works. It's something I can maybe show my kids and they'd be able to get it! A lot of other artists make it seem like a huge disadvantage doing it non-digitally, but the way you lay it out here feels a whole lot less stressful than dealing with all that computery nonsense. It's really motivating for us old-school dead-tree format artists!

Helpful tip: if you're uploading a comic in the traditional comic layout, you could crop each panel as individual images for web comic uses.
Oh and another thing: you could also rearrange the paneling onto one long canvas.

Girl you bring me the hope I can do comics not in digital way! I am traditional artist and have a lot of stories. I cane with the idea I could combine those. Every single site told me I need photoshop or stuff, which I'm zero with. Many thanx!

i’ve been on and off building my big fantasy world for about 4 years now…
since i started my style and approach have both changed A LOT, but i’m so happy to be able to start using my better materials to share my lil thought 😭

I especially agree with your point on clarity. I recently made a piece where a character was in a really dynamic pose that involved the character’s leg covering up most of the torso. I showed it to a friend and he genuinely took 30 seconds looking at it trying to decipher what is actually happening. Until then, I thought dynamic poses were the coolest thing, and they still are, but now I know the limits of how far I can go. Great video!

I LOVE this video. No speedraw, serious tips, complete process to make a comic’s page, voice calm (infact i understand the words). Pity dont have italian subtitles.

I love your style, and that you did almost all the work by hand instead of digitally. And I would've never thought to add the word bubbles digitally instead of making room for it while drawing (simple, but saves time and stress). Practical step by step, and it was fun to watch. Thanks for showing it from beginning to end!

Wow. This is a great video. I'm really thinking about creating my own webtoon but a lot of channels seem to overcomplicate it. I loved how you broke it down so a novice like me could easily follow. Very much appreciated, and good luck in your own endeavors!

Seeing how amazing your comics look made my tension fizzle out a bit because I now realize that I can be loose about my own comics too. No obsessing over precise panel spacing and measurements and keeping everything *too* orderly and overcalculated
