The first five notes are all I need to hear to have a smile come to my face... Every. Single. Time.

Can I just say how lovely it is that we all can go on to the comment section of all these great songs and bond over it? That's such a great connection that's I love seeing from people, and they dont even know it.

Home is where I want to be
Pick me up and turn me round
I feel numb, burn with a weak heart
I guess I must be having fun
The less we say about it the better
Make it up as we go along
Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It's ok I know nothing's wrong... nothing
Hi yo I got plenty of time
Hi yo you got light in your eyes
And you're standing here beside me
I love the passing of time
Never for money
Always for love
Cover up + say goodnight... say goodnight
...
Home, is where I want to be
But I guess I'm already there
I come home, she lifted up her wings
Guess that this must be the place
I can't tell one from another
Did I find you, or you find me?
There was a time before we were born
If someone asks, this where I'll be where I'll be
Hi yo we drift in and out
Hi yo sing into my mouth
Out of all those kinds of people
You got a face with a view
I'm just an animal looking for a home
Share the same space for a minute or two
And you love me till my heart stops
Love me till I'm dead
Eyes that light up, eyes look through you
Cover up the blank spots
Hit me on the head ah ooh

I don’t think we deserve this masterpiece, like I would be more than fine if this was the last song I ever heard. Truly one of the best 80s songs

My sister had this album. She always had the best albums. I think if it wasn't for sis, I'd not know half the great music I love to this day. And when I listened to it? My hope rose. My heart pumped. My imagination beamed. Possibility shown. I wan no longer alone, for I was in the hands of the story master, teaching me with his quirky insights, odd grunts and groans, and beautiful melodies. And it was grand.

Love being alive, I get to be in a place where this music exists

This is one of those songs that hugs you, a song that embraces you with warmth and a unique sense of peace of mind.
I found it last year in Matt Haig's book called "The Humans". Fascinating author, recommend his books with all my heart!

This song is so powerful and warm and just makes me happy whenever I hear it. Remember all of the good times I had looking at my feet and talking to people I love nervously. Makes life more of a journey that looking at it from the outside makes it seem playful and warm. This song speaks to everyone and is relatable to every one listening to it. Sucks nowadays we cant appreciate life like this. I will never get sick of listening to this song.

This really is an amazing song. from about the 3:25 mark until the 4:15 mark it goes from a great song to an amazing song. The lyrics and the pick up in vocals...I just fell in love with it there.

I love the Kokopelli style flute strung throughout the song, great touch.

Also,

If there was one song on repeat you had to listen to for the rest of your life, this must be the place!

In highschool, In the early nineties I would wait for this song to come on even after my alarm went off, that radio station played it the same time almost everyday….
Oh those days….
