First concert I ever ushered for Bill Graham was at the Fox Warfield. Pearl Harbor & The Explosions were the opening act for The Talking Heads. I worked the top of the third balcony and there were *two shows*. After clearing the house and seating everyone for the second show I was told I could go anywhere.... well... there was a bank of seats in the front row empty (because the speakers were right there) and I walked right up and sat. An usher tried to usher me away but when I showed my badge I got to stay for the whole second show!

Let me say that this was definitely the best concert I've ever been to... and to get *paid* for it was just icing! The Talking Heads are without a doubt my favorite group... and being 10 feet away from them was amazing. I had never even heard of Pearl Harbor & The Explosions before but they definitely rocked it! Great group, great songs, great energy!
