Actually, the easiest way to align it is not trying to match it to the logo on the hood. Just line it up based on your grill. There are five vertical supports in the grill. Pick the one in the middle and that aligns to the middle of the bracket. There happens to be a divot in the very center of the bracket, which makes it perfectly easy to eyeball it. This is much easier than trying to eyeball it to the logo, which is much higher. Model Y bracket does not have a lip on the bottom as of June 2024. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the guidance. I have to say I think it’s disgraceful that if you plunk down 60 grand for a car that is shipped to a state where two licenses are required, you shouldn’t have to put the thing on yourself.

It seems like 9 out of 10 Tesla’s don’t mount their front plate. Yet if I go one day without it on my JDM, it’s an instant ticket. It’s outright discrimination.
