i upgraded to the 16 pro max purely for the battery life. I do not care about anything else. the battery on this thing is amazing. easily beats my 13 pro max which was already good.

I'm not a heavy AI user, but for the occasional dip into AI, your tips do the job well enough. I absolutely do not care about deep integration.

On balance, Apple Intelligence is a very underwhelming development for the iPhone. It's hilarious that Apple marketing made such a big deal out of it.

Will there be a (turn off button) to all this Apple Intelligence? Peaking at your screen and "remembering" especially with OpenAi is a privacy nightmare for some silly-to-mid Ai gen stuff.

My understanding is:
Apple intelligence reads, understands and sends away what's in my Signal conversation to be processed in the cloud bypassing Signal's end-to-end encription :) can't even turn Apple intelligence crap off.. so i'll pass.

The RAM is the limiting feature why we can’t get sophisticated models because the a 18 pro is more than powerful enough but Apple has decided to limit the RAM to just 8 GB for Apple Intelligence and we won’t really get to see it full potential until Apple up the RAM to at least 12 GB or 16 GB.
