You can actually bake the texture from the scan onto the retopo saving you the hand paint. Love the vid, thanks!

With zBrush it should be possible to load the supplied texture, convert it into a zBrush texture (per pixel shading or whatever it was called), then uv wrap properly and export it as a normal UV.

Just a matter of waiting until C4d & blender role in the updates to suit the need of the hour, retopo from hi poly to low keeping UV intact.

You can just bake old texture on new retopologized model with different uv. No need to make new one.
