I like how your review did a scan of a headlight. Most reviews I see are just small random objects.
I have been looking for a handheld 3d scanner for a while. One of the main things I have been wanting to scan is my Truck's Side Mirror. I had some chrome Covers for them and one came off on a road trip do to weak adhesive tape. I was going to just buy a new one but the new ones they have are not the same size as the old version and don not completely cover the mirror housing. For well over $100 a set I want them to be exactly as I like. So I had to send them back because of they didn't meet my expectations. So I decided that I might just look into 3d printing my own but I need a scanner to get the perfect shape needed. Leaning toward this Revopoint Mini. So far it seems the most affordable with with best results.

I've found putting the markers in a more random pattern works best for tracking. Having 3-5 visible in each frame while scanning, in uniquely placed groups. Great video, can't wait till they ship!

Have you ever tried scanning a 1/43 scale miniature car? Do you think it takes all de small details? I would have no problem painting it all with a matt grey paint if needed.

I remember in 2002 I went to Vegas and a guy was selling Metal key chains of a face from a 3D scan. I can't believe its taken this long to get that kinda of product for home use.

Aligning separate data scans can be difficult. It's easier with point pairs. Picking like points on each scan and then aligning. It's a shame this software doesn't offer that. It has to auto align.

Can it scan Lego pieces (like bricks, minifigures, accessories, etc.)? Because I wanna 3D scan Custom Lego Spartan (Halo) Armor from Brickforge for 3D animation in the style of The Lego Movie.
