How can debating whether biological sex is important not make a difference? Trans people exist how they are allowed to integrate in certain spaces like sport, prisons, healthcare is extremely important to debate. How can the trans community not see this?

Clown world we are in.... Controversial to say that females are called women and males are called men!!! ..and there can be no discussion on these matters at a debating center like Oxford!!! This is a time when we need to have these discussions!!!

It is not just offensive, on a personal level, to insist a woman or girl, for example, refer to an obvious male as “she” (never mind dangerous — where do our boundaries go when we have to pretend an exposed penis is not that?) but it is also entirely unnecessary.

It helps no one to lie to them about their sex, which is a thing you are born with and cannot help. It is not an insult to refer to a male as “he.” Even if you don’t like “he” things. Referring to a man as “he” does not prevent him from wearing the clothes he wants to wear, growing his hair long, or even getting breast implants, if he so desires. It does, however, ensure people are allowed to acknowledge and speak the obvious truth, and avoids legitimizing the concept that one can change sex simply by announcing it so.

😂We are not against freedom of speech only people speaking that opposes our beliefs, we will make claims that Trans are victims of hate crimes yet refuse to hear any concerns for the safety of Women from sex crimes, a much higher reported statistic than hate crimes against the trans community. BTW Kathleen Stock did Infact speak opposite other speakers, she wasn't lecturing. Maybe if these people actually LISTENED to Kathleen Stock and others they would see that someone like Stock is NOT anti trans & does not want to remove the rights of ANYBODY!

Trans people are NOT marginalised. This is like a broken record. Where is the data and evidence for this. They are not subjected to hate crimes. All they are really upset about is the fact that they want access to women’s spaces and services including those where biological sex is important. Certain spaces where women are naked, undressing or confined should be safeguarded and they want access to them. That’s what they are upset about.
