I use MSG instead of salt on 50% of my steaks and they are always more enjoyable.
You know how Frank's Red Hot has the line "I put that sh.. on everything"?
That's me and MSG.

That's because of the Umami taste, it's on foods like stakes and when you add MSG it makes it pop a lot more so that you're able to feel and teste it better and stronger

Hey Guga, thanks for your great videos.
After watching your videos, I have three requests for future videos:
- Please try some other cattle breeds than wagyu and American beef.
- How do you clean all your pans and other cooking ustensils so they continue to be so shiny ?
- Please cook a foie gras in a terrine using sous vide.
And yes I'll repeat those requests often. ;)

I just want to say MSG is not poison it can have some effects when you eat a lot of MSG maybe 3 grams. So it is not healthy but it also isn't deadly.

For those who don't know what MSG is, well it stands for MonoSodium Glutamate, it's a taste enhancer mostly in any course 😉. In the Philippines, these are our number 1 seasoning out of all seasonings. Western usually use salt and pepper, well for us, MSG and salt will do the trick

Msg is actually healthier than salt if you use it the right way.
It contain less sodium and you can get away with using less salt if you add a bit of msg.

Don't use it as a flavour enhancer but use it as a salt substitute. A recipe calls for one teaspoon of salt? Use a pinch and add a pinch of msg.

Its weird how people can stand sugar but cant stand MSG when they are actually can be made out of sugarcane. Both of them.
