In this video Doctor Furlan explains what is degenerative disc disease (DDD) and how to avoid pain from this condition. The lumbar disc is a shock-aborbing cushion between two vertebraes. Disc disease can lead to disc bulge, prolapse, thinning, herniation and osteophytes.

I'm only in my 30s and a car accident, followed by the pandemic, and a sedentary lifestyle has left me with ddd. Learning how to strengthen my muscles to help. Thank u for this video.

I have had these pains for years. At one point lumbar surgery was suggested. However with the help of the many years of physio therapy and exercises I am feeling better. The calves are still a problem at times. Thank you Doctor Furlan.
