I think this is kind of how my IBS works. If I eat something high fodmap the effect is either like I've had way too much coffee or I get so drowsy I can't stay awake.

Even while limiting the specific fodmaps that I'm sensitive too, I feel like I bounce back and forth between sympathetic and parasympathetic excess with little rhyme or reason why. Sometimes when I'm stressed I can't stay awake. Almost every time I go for a nice relaxing walk I get extreme urgency symptoms.

I've seen several herbs and supplements which supposedly "support" the regulation between the two systems and feedback loops, but when I look into it further they are generally for boosting *either* parasympathetic or sympathetic. Ideally I'd find something that helps them communicate better.

Hello :) I have been diagnosed with SIBO, experiencing a lot of stress with sleepless nights.
My question is why after going to the bathroom at night I experience pulsating in the abdominal? to stop it I have to eat or drink something for the pulsating and pain to go away ??
Love listening to you two, really helping me get through this :)
