Claiming your free Megascans:
You can access your claimed Megascans from the Quixel profile on Fab, but they will not be added automatically to My Library at this time; you may add them to My Library individually by clicking the Add to Library button on the listing page. We’re working on a solution to add all of your claimed Megascans assets to My Library.

The Megascan library is great, and it's nice that all the old assets are being made freely available. But the user experience of Fab is not fabulous! Crucially, you've disabled downloading assets in Bridge, which was a great tool, and a big part of my workflow, which has now been interrupted. I know a lot of people feel the same way. Just check the forums. Please re-enable downloading assets in Bridge until you launch a similar desktop client for Fab. If you ever do so?

Quixel Bridge was literally the perfect tool for everyone, I hope there's something similar in the works because right now it feels like a massive downgrade.

This is a step backward! We don't understand why, instead of using Bridge with a simple action, it now takes more steps to accomplish the same task. I work with Bridge and 3DS Max and have heard many companies and colleagues complaining about this!

Tbf, Fab has worse interface design than the Quixel Bridge we had before, searching by category is a total mess.

Can we get some clarity on what 'claim' means in this context? For instance, I have 'claimed' the Megascans assets on Fab, however some people are saying I also need to download everything in order to still use the assets come the end of the year? Is this so, or by 'claiming' the assets now, have I ensured that I will have free access to these assets indefinitely post-new year?

The absence of something like Bridge for proper DCC integration is a bad decision. I don't get this move at all.

And why? Now there is no Bridge and for me, as someone who used it in 3ds max, how to work through Fa now, fab is convenient only for those who use UA5

Bridge worked with all 3d programs, now FAB only with one Unreal Engine. Well done!! the degradation is maximum!!

The Fab Plugin for Unreal Engine is useful to get the quixel assets as quick as with the quixelbridge.
But the fab plugin does not give you ord but orm textures. So very often there is no way to get displacement information over the plugin. Will this be changed? I find this to be a MASSIVE downgrade over how it worked before.

Also the new mastermaterial has less functionality such as scaling or rotating textures.

Also the textures have weird code names which makes it hard to find them with the searchbar in the unreal content browser.

Are those problems going to be fixed?

Would like more details on the 'Revamped' items (Wind, Geo, Features) - what exactly does that mean? Does this apply to pre-existing assets or only new ones moving forward?
