Try the following:
track and pull away for any incoming,
Swing through for a fast cross,
Trail behind then swing through for a long cross,
Intercept/Instinctive for an unexpected,
Sustained lead for the longest shots...

There's the one eye closed swing, the head tilted to the side swing, the both eyes closed swing then the one that works best, the both eyes open swing.
