Belgian Malinois is the Smartest Dog Breed Ever!

There isn’t a dog breed in the world who is smarter than Belgian Malinois, he is just the smartest ever.

I think Stanley Corens putting the Malinois 26th is lack of knowledge. They are extremely intelligent, but stubborn, sensitive and deeply emotional. Border collie is intelligent, but tactically, the Belgian is foremost. The Belgian is only for serious active humble people, willing to have a part time job.

26th?? Belgium malinois... No freaking way.... I've 1...had gsd, Labrador... He's wayy smarter than previous dogs... They're among top 5 smart breeds no doubtt about that

I disagree. I had a Malinois and a German shepherd growing up. Both extremely intelligent, fantastic dogs but scientifically the German shepherd is considered much more intelligent and I’m here to tell you it wasn’t even close. In by no means demoting the intelligence of German shepherds, they are absolutely one of the smartest breeds but my Malinois was different.

Every Sunday we would go to my grandmas for dinner and we’d put both of them in the backyard so they could play with each other and get some of their energy out but naturally as intelligent as they were they learned our schedule and would do things such as trying to sneak out to go with us but this is where the most memorable moment growing up with my dogs took place. One Sunday after we put them in the backyard like usual our malinois dragged a plastic chair from underneath our patio over to our 6’ vinyl fence and used the chair to jump the fence where he waited for us to open the garage in hope that we’d take him with us.

Emotional intelligence of the mal is insane not to mention seemingly understanding the english language and sign language he thought my female gsd how to obey our comands he made other dogs easy to train

Old info, all current/up-to-date research proves the Malinois is the smartest dog of all. That’s why the are now the go to for military and police dogs. Border Collie step aside.
