The devil wants the world to think God is the bad guy. If God in heaven is so bad then why is the devil so mad he got kicked out of heaven?

Thank you for asking Dr Heisser's video. The first thing I heard Dr T answer one of this questions I thought of Dr HS video.
Awesome job in adding additional resources so we can learn and be better informed.

People that do evil blame satan; people that see other people doing evil blame God. People never blame themselves.

This is very interesting. While alive, I watched Michael H. and was blessed. After many hours of listening to him I saw no difference in his understanding of Hebrew. I weighed it against my Mentor, John Macarthur. I never found a reason to discount what Michael Heiser taught. His understanding is consistent with the truth. His knowledge of the Hebrew language is impressive. I certainly don't disagree with his statements in your post. We Christians can be so blinded to the word at times. Enough said!!! BTW, Frank Turek is a GEM!!!

That’s amazing. It puts a whole new perspective into Spiritual warfare and the history of warfare and the passage in Ephesians 6…we do not wrestle/battle with flesh and blood! Literally the focus of Joshua and the armies were to destroy the spiritual forces of evil!

You should look at the work of Dr. Michael Heiser on the times of Genesis and Exodus. According to him, while God may have had many reasons to have the Israelites to "wipe out" the inhabitants of Canaan, Heiser showed that there were only certain groups among them that were thus targeted for destruction. Primarily because they had the descendants of the giants that were considered an abominable mixture of human beings and the fallen spirit beings mentioned in Genesis and elsewhere in the scriptures. These were the beings of which Goliath was one of the last survivors. They were responsible for corrupting mankind even more than he was after the fall in Eden. They were the reason God brought on the flood rid the earth of them, but which didn't manage to completely. They were the ones after the flood that directed men to build the tower of Bable, and resulted in God scattering men and confusing their languages.

These guys (nephilim, anakim, etc) were very bad dudes. Not truly human. Heiser's teachings are that they, once killed (?) were the source of the unclean spirits that Jesus Christ was later to deal with in the Gospels. (Apparently, these unclean spirits, which have the indication or implication of being an improper mixture; are different from demons, which have a different origin)

Thus many of the times when God was seemingly rather drastic, He had good reasons to be so. There's other things that may seem a bit extreme to us, for example, the incident of the "children and the bears, " with Elisha. This is a cultural and translation situation. The word in the original CAN mean children, but can also mean someone under thirty years old or so. These were NOT cub scouts or kindergarten kids, which is what generally comes to for us today, but more like obnoxious grad students with a serious lack of reverence towards God and his servant.

Just something to consider when these questions arise. You HAVE to consider the culture and times these events occured in, and then look into them with that in mind. It's all really a LOT deeper and more profound than a casual reading can give you. 🙏✝️🙏
Jesus Christ is Lord, amen!

I hope we dont have to live with the current insanity for 400 years before God steps in. Every second counts at this point.

Why is it when god plays god he’s a bad guy when he chooses who lives and dies he’s immoral but when you play god here on earth and choose who loves or dies that’s a moral right . That sums it up pretty well

As a Christian, I cringe when other Christians use the hyperbole defense. God doesn't need us to white wash His perfect actions by our messed up standards.

If God were real evil, why would he let people who criticize Him live? All your sins are forgiven past, present and future, so now what will you do with that freedom?

God is the only reason we know good. Better a slap from a friend than a kiss from an enemy.

Frank gives some really thought provoking answers. If you criticize the God of the bible you have to look at your own moral decisions based on your subjective view of right and wrong. Its amazing when someone does something heinous to us as Americans we demand justice, even to the point of killing our enemies. But the God of the bible who has made is evil for removing people because of their rebellion.

Your finishing was perfect. The Paul and Peter in the Bible stressed the importance of knowledge and understanding what you believe. Therefore, if there are questions then ask them!!

I hope this becomes a normal in Sunday schools and churches across the world and skepticism and doubts are not seen as a threat but part of growing in faith.

Thank you! That was very interesting!!

And I totally agree with your point at the end. Keep searching people! The very fact that you're interested in finding The Ultimate Truth/God is important.

Seek and you will find.

Knock, and the door will be open to you.

And sometimes the search will take you to places that are so terrifying that you'll question whether or not you ought to keep seeking, but grow a pair and keep seeking.
