you are a the batteries from the remote and pressing Philips TV power button for 30 secs resolved my issue the only thing I didn't do previously was to remove the batteries from the remote.

Tried tip 3 with my iPhone torch and I can indeed see the image on the tv so it confirmed the backlight was faulty thank you.

Hi i tried the 1st and 2nd solution. Before, the red light on the bottom wasn’t even open. Now the red light light on the bottom started flashing. What do I do to fix this?

So the issue that I am having, is that it turns on to the brand name screen and then shuts right back off. Whether I use the remote to turn it on or the power button behind it. I tried all of these tricks but still nothing seems to work. Could it just be a bad TV

My Phillips tv monitor has failed in the IC that when you push on off switch it will not engage power supply, I am going to try to by pass this, if the power supply puts out power when you plug it in it will work.
