Philips Android TV Remote Not Working? Unresponsive or Slow Response? FIXED!

I show you how to fix a RCA Roku TV (smart tv) remote that is not working correctly like it has a delay, laggy or slow response or some buttons (not all buttons) are unresponsive. The should only help about 60% of you. Hope this helps.

This actually worked for me!
My local shop didn’t have original Philips remotes in stock and I didn’t want to buy a copy, so I gave this a try and works better than before, it isn’t laggy anymore!

Unbelievable - it worked for me too. I was very sceptical, but took out the batteries, pressed all the buttons multiple times, put the batteries back in and now we are back in business! Many thanks.

Turning the TV off for 30 secs, it worked! Thanks man! Although the tv was receiving the signal from the remote, the led was flashing, the tv was not responding. But your first method worked!

Easy way to check you remote without even changing batteries. Just my 2 cents. I'm sure someone posted this already.
If you used to boxes like the fire stick then you might be spoiled on using WiFi remote controls. I'm not sure about the newer remotes but you can do two things to check your remote without removing batteries.

First grab your cell phone and turn it camera on. It's easier to do a facial camera then a front cam. Once you see your cam functioning point the front of your remote towards your front or rear camera. Press each button on the remote ANY REMOTE FROM ANY TV will look as if your pointing s flashing flashlight at your cell. If you press each button at least one time you'll feel as if your remote turned into a flashlight. Once you confirm that the remote is working (lighting through your cam) then there is a 95% chance it is fine. Obviously you should try the same test with new batts if it fails this test. Second: Make sure there is nothing blocking you infrared sending on the tv. They used to be obvious but they are making them smaller now days. The operators manual will show you where it is. If you have a large tv or a not so large anything sitting in front of or blocking the view of your infrared sensor will cause the tv to fail to do remote commands.

FYI Infrared is slightly above the human eyes ability. Domestic animals can see your remote flashing. You can even teach your dog to do tricks by pointing different keys at your pet. I'm getting out of scope but I hope I may have helped save a good set of batteries. PS if the remote light emission appears dim then replace batteries.
