I have had a heart rate of approximately 111 bpm since childhood. (My mother and daughter also have always had this high rate.)
No doctors ever said anything about it, not once. And I went to the doctor frequently. Suddenly, in my late 40’s, I was in heart failure, that didn’t get diagnosed for years because the doctors figured I was to young, even though being an EMT on our ambulance service, I told my doctor that it felt like heart failure.
After many bouts of “pneumonia” the ER finally diagnosed my heart failure. At which point half of my heart was extremely enlarged and I was only moving about 23% of my blood through my body. Six years later and my life sucks. I have no energy-ever. I wish someone would have noticed my heart rate was to high for too long before the damage was done.
