I have a resting heart rate of 45. Under certain circumstances I'm able to get it down to 35 ( long fasting) I run 70 km a week and run every day.

This put my mind at ease, I recently just noticed my heart rate is between 50-60 and I’ve been so anxious about that. I was freakin out cause when I woke up it was at 44.

I'm 52 years old and have a resting heart rate of 60. Two years ago it was resting of 55, which I believe is good for a man my age. It's gone up due to my lack of regular exercise. I know I need to step up my game but I've been lazy recently.

I ride bike allot and my heart rate drops to about 41 bpm sometimes lower. I ride 40 to 60 miles per ride as many days as I can. My heart rate allows me to do pretty amazing things not many people can keep up with me in stamina. Its like a super power, a true blessing.

The x amount of beats is a load of balls

It is estimated that a healthy heart will beat 2.4 to 2.8 billion times in a lifetime. My grandmother lived to be 97, if she had an average heartrate of 68 beats per minute hers would be over 3.4 billion beats.

My heart rate awake last night was 41 bpm. I’m not a runner. The only thing I do is weight lifting almost every day for 4 years now. Should I check it with my doctor?

cmFew days ago I was visiting a doctor to be tested for the virus. She checked my pulse and it was 45, said that it was very low and wanted to make a EKG to make sure. So it showed same 40-45. She told me to stop using caffeine pills before my workouts (200mg a pill - so not much (I'm 194 cm (6'3), 92kg (205lbs) on a cut) and stop drinking caffe (I rarely drink). Yesterday and today I checked my pulse and it was 45 and 40. Oh and she said after 3 months it should stabilize (go back to normal?) and I should go check myself one more time. Btw I don't do very hard trainings, mostly resistance 4x/week.
I will do what she said, but after some research I am somewhat doubting her words.

I'm here because during my yearly physical my doctor had to check my pulse twice because I was at 36. I've recently lost 50 lbs so I've been doing a lot of cardio.

So I’m one of those guys who’s heart goes right up to 100 or 120 by just going up some stairs, BUT my heart rate also goes down as low as 40 bpm when I’m still awake. Should I be worried?

I have been fit for a long time, but for the last 6 months, I trained cycling and running for 12 hours a week on a structured training program. I'm 41. Previously my waking minimum was 40. A few weeks ago, it went down to 38. Today, I was worried. I was able to get my heart rate down to 31 after a hard training session the day before. I am fit, but not as fit as that heart rate would suggest. I don't know if I should see a doctor or not. A waking hr of 31 is out of the ordinary and I can't explain it away by being an Olympic athlete. If anyone has an opinion, I would be grateful. Thanks.

“The heart pumps 60 beats per minute if you are unhealthy!”…The guy doesn’t even know the numbers fitness enthusiasts live by and he is doing a podcast about heart rate! 😂

I’m 5’8” 210 lbs and 56yrs. Terrible shape but my resting heart rate is between 50-53 BPM but I’m sure my recovery would be terrible.

45-50 beats is when you are sleeping. The numbers are way off but I get the point of what the guy is saying

A fit heart has a, larger stroke volume and hence needs less beats per minutes to oxygenate more efficient muscles.
