I remember one time a non verbal student of mine with severe autism came to me after swimming class and said: "ear, water", he was telling me his ears were wet and he wanted me to dry them. Those two little words communicating a simple need from a boy who hardly ever spoke, literally brought tears of joy and pride to my eyes. I wish I hadn't seen this video. These people are sick and heartless. This shouldn't be legal.

the lack of fundamental understanding of how disorders like DID actually function is astounding. it's so obvious that many people online are faking once you learn what it looks like in a realistic sense. they de-medicalize it so much and it's frustrating :(

I love the way those fakers get called out. Them being so pressed about it soothes me.

Just a small nitpick: stimming can be voluntary, as it's a self regulating action. Tics are involuntary. I stim in various ways and may or may not be concious of it. It always makes me feel calmer and more regulated, though. I do not, however, have tics. Tic disorders are entirely different and a tic by nature must be involuntary to be a tic

Hello! I'm a social worker, I'm not qualified to diagnose anyone with anything, but from my studies and experience, I can assure you that stimming is not always involuntary!

For example, in the case of ADD/ADHD, it can be done knowingly and voluntarily to soothe yourself, help yourself concentrate, or process emotions.
Stimming can be stereotypical like rocking or flapping, or non-stereotypical and more associated with stress and anxiety, like playing with your clothes or picking at your skin! It can in fact also be smoking a cigarette, which obviously provides stress relief but also sensory stimulation! Unfortunately, it is common for people with ADD/ADHD to develop some form of addiction because of this type of unhealthy stimming!

If you read all that thank you so much lmao, I hope this didn't bore you hahaha

I really appreciate how you talk about these people without mocking disabilities and different identities. It's really refreshing :)

As a disabled person I don't know why you would want to fake being disabled, it's not fun my life not shit but fck makes my life hard and stops me from certain things.

It was guessed i had anxiety since childhood n recently got diagnosed, i stim alot by rocking or fidgeting and slowly am learning how to help regulate my anxiety . At times when i get overwhelmed i tic and its not fun, i usually snap my head to the side and snap my fingers in my own ear repeatedly until ive calmed abit. Its tiring and painful and embarrassing if im in public. I did not CHOOSE to have this disorder. Im on two medications to just help me function day to day with it. It makes my blood boil when people fake serious stuff like this. Those who have it did not choose it, so why would you?

I wonder if we went back in time and showed our ancestors what this current world is, they’d probably go “Wtf, we gotta return to monkey”💀

I'm 35 and autistic. It took me to age 32 to get diagnosed because - as a woman - I am pretty good at masking and everyone just thought I was the 'weird, obsessive girl who didn't like to socialise and had panic attacks'. I cannot understand why someone with autism would ever deliberately film their stimming/meltdowns and post it online; I am always mortified if someone sees any of my more prominent traits because it makes me so self-conscious and I always think people will think it me differently.

As someone with autism. Them getting excited is stimming. I always act way younger than I am when I get excited. I’m not saying they’re not faking I’m just saying them talking like that when excited vs talking in a normal voice at normal times isn’t a sign they’re faking. I love your vids. Keep up the good work

People with ADHD also hold their hands curled to their chest at times, but not the shaking and such. We call them T-rex arms and don't usually realize we're doing it until someone points it out. Lol
It's not a stim, it's usually self soothing behavior, or the most comfortable place for our arms where they wont smack in to anything.

i love your fake disorder videos so much because you actually understand things arent black and white like wheelchair users arent all paralyzed. i have POTS and use a wheelchair sometimes on bad days but even on good days i cannot pick someone else up.. like if you're that weak you need a wheelchair that's okay!! but when your also just doing a whole 360 and picking someone up that's a different situation. its certainly possible they just use wheelchairs on super bad days and that day was a good day but with the way they seem to film certain parts and set up cameras and stuff its unlikely.

It's so sad 😢 I see this as criminal behaviour. I have mental illnesses and I'm beyond fed up with these people faking it. It makes me feel stupid and hopeless. 😢 I'm constantly in therapy and recovery.
I'm managing my life and have real dreams.
I can't believe these people being fakers.😢 it's a mockery!
