Recurring eye inflammation isn't something to ignore.

If you've had uveitis in one eye and it shows up again — whether in the same eye or the other — it's time to dig deeper. This could be your body's way of hinting at an underlying autoimmune condition. Early evaluation can make a huge difference in managing your health and preserving your vision.

Don’t wait! Advocate for yourself and seek a specialist's advice.

People with rheumatoid arthritis often have dry mouth and dry eyes. It can be related but another autoimmune disease is Sjogren's. Immune systems attacks salivary(spit) glands and tear production. Talk to your Rheumatologist MD about your symptoms. There are treatments. Good luck.

What are the symptoms of uveitis? My eyes are very dry and red around the eyelid perimeter. I have AS but my rheumatologist never said anything about this.

Need another set of eyes on my muscle biopsy. No one knows about it to explain how they reached their impression. I’m not able to find the information to decode the findings myself. I just got the pathologists impression read back to me by two rheumatologists, I PM&R doctor and my primary. So disappointed. I know that the report is inconclusive. I didn’t even get any feedback as to what to do next.

I get "styes" a lot. Is that the same thing you show in video?

People are not “autoimmune”… we have an illness, illness doesn’t have us
