As the person who lives in Laos, I can tell that our country is the most bombed country in the world conducted by the US, 2 million tons of bombs have been dropped between 1964 to 1973 equivalent to a planeload every 8 minutes for 9 years which is more than the bomb dropped in the entirely of ww2. Since the start of the bombing campaign it killed more than 50000 of Lao people have been killed which 98 percent are civilians. To this day 1/3 of the land is still covered in bombs because it’s hard to remove in the mountains and still kills people to this day.

My father & I took my Vietnam War veteran grandfather to Washington D.C. several years ago for the 1st time for him to see The Vietnam War Memorial Wall. He was drafted in the late 1960s & he got injured by shrapnel from a land mine (in addition to getting shot), so he got sent home & received a Purple Heart. However, 6 of his buddies didn't make it back home, so before the trip he made a list of all of their names & where they were located on The Wall. As he found each on the wall, he got very emotional knowing that he managed to come home (though injured), get married, have 3 sons, & live another 50 years, but 6 of his friends didn't.

I love how you portrayed the North using the Ho Chi Min Trail with Laos getting caught up in Operation Rolling Thunder. Imagine chilling outside and seeing your neighbor sprint past you with military equipment and troops, and then you get bombed just because they crossed through your lawn.

Is no one gonna talk about the historical inaccuracy in this video? That the Americans are using Soviet MiG 29s which first got introduced into production in 1985 to drop bombs when in reality America was using F-105 Thunderchiefs and A-4 Skyhawks for bombing runs
