Your Blender 2.8 tutorial was actually the one that brought me into the world of 3D modeling and animation. A year later, I have made a couple of freelance works using blender as my main tool. Thank you for being vital part of my journey!

As a complete newbie at 50, I have paid a lot of compliments to Blender enthusiasts for their tutorials and knowledge, and I have to say that this beginner's course you have made has to be the best on Youtube. I am extremely grateful for these videos, as it's tricky to tackle individual topics from different channels and different people. You are clearing a lot of things up for me. If Carlsberg did Blender tutorials.... 👏

To all the new students, trust me when I say Grant will guide you amazingly throughout this journey. I finished almost the entire YouTube's library worth of content and moved on to his paid content and cannot recommend it enough 💯 Oh! And Grant! Thanks for always pumping out the bangers m8❤️

I gotta say - you have the most practical and greatest tutorials. I'm older and retired/disabled now, but years ago, before the forced retirement, I started using Blender somewhere around the Beta version I think around .94 or so. I wasn't a self taught user and didn't use it much as it was just a hobby. Over the years, I've watched tutorials that would teach a bit of this and a bit of that. Never like this. I was able to do simple things and just kept dabbling over the years. Always wondering "How do I do this or that" about simple things. Being that I didn't use it all the time, I would forget things but I wasn't extremely motivated. I'm the type person that needs to sit with someone 1 on 1 and watch exactly what they do and be able to ask questions every now and then. Although I can't ask you live in the moment questions, the way you do your tutorials is EXACTLY what I've been needing all this time. I am starting with Part 1 and will continue each part until I master it this time round. All these years, I wish I had found you sooner. Thank you so much!

Hey Grant, I'm starting week 2 - I've looked at all kinds of Blender tutorials and (no disrespect to the efforts of their creators) - there's a difference between knowing Blender and TEACHING blender. Your vid is like an oasis in the chaos, your pacing, tone, and method are ideal....I'll be following your lead and thanks for these!!

I still have this project file from last year. So much fun learning from this one.
Learning a new thing like, applying emission shader, is like opening the door to 1, 000s of projects you can make in the future.

Thank you for teaching me the ins- and outs of Blender, tips and tricks for all those years!

Can't help to wonder if with Blender 3.0 there will be another set of people having that wonderful journey.

Thanks again Grant Abbitt, for all the free educational content, and here is to hope there will be many more of it to come!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I've been wanting to teach Blender to my year 10 students and, while I do know Blender, I struggled to find an effective way to do it until I came across this! This is perfect!

Usually i get lost when watching these tutorials, and while i already knew these basics it feels much better having you go through it

Finally a tutorial that is not over complicated, and short, so you won't feel intimidated. Everyone should start with this :)

Having tried a couple of other on-line tutorials, I came to the conclusion that Blender was not for me. Then I tried yours. A great series, well thought out explained and paced - brilliant.
Teachers come in different flavours: Those that "Do the job", those that know their subject but cannot teach it & those that insprire . . . Thanks for so much inspiration - havng done the basics, I'm now onto some of the more advanced stuff, and loving it!

Excellent video. He's careful not to sub-consciously skip steps, so is very easy to follow. Voice is enjoyable listening. Pauses occasionally to allow the user to practice. Very important, he uses a default view so no confusion right off. I highly recommend his videos!

Ah, so you're jumping on the re-release bandwagon too, eh? xD

The 2.8 version of the tutorial for this scene is what got me into blendering two years ago. To whoever is getting into Blender for the first time, this series is going to be a great starting point. Stick with Grant after completing it too - Blender Guru is charismatic and an expert, but Grant is all of that on top of having a teaching background. It shows in his tutorials, and we as a community are lucky that he's dedicated so much of his time and expertise to put out world-class free content. I've done my fair share of both free & paid courses, and Grant is about as good as it gets,

So glad you've made this series. I haven't touched blender in nearly 2 years and forgot pretty much everything and this is a fantastic refresher.
