OP in story #2: As someone with CPTSD and who has had some bad experiences with some really evil people, I think visiting with an income-based telehealth therapist would benefit you immensely! Also, since you have the names of the people who hurt you, file a protective order against them to stay away from you and indigent (meaning someone who has little money and can file a restraining order for free). Contact your local Legal Aid office for help if you need to bc they are there for these kinds of things or go to a magistrate or a shelter for people who have been abused. They can also help with support groups and local resources. Finally, either learning self-defense and/or carrying whatever weapon you feel comfortable carrying (if you choose mace, remember it will sting your eyes and choke you up as well; wear a bandana to protect your face) and arm yourself. If you are spiritual, now is a great time to channel into your beliefs and arm yourself that way too. Feeling empowered is one of the best ways to heal PTSD. Sending you love and light. 🖤
