Bernier has my vote get out to the polls and vote for Bernier to end the elitism and help Canadians

If this is the conservative party of Canada, Canada is in bleak shape. One single candidate prepared to end a major agricultural cartel and ensure the economy is producers working for consumers, not consumers working for producers. Is there anything more fundamental than that?

Bernier may well win but I'm not sure it will matter if these other candidates are representative of the party.

My top 3 issues, immigration, immigration, immigration. The economy won't matter much longer if we don't fix our insane immigration policies.

I like Bernier but he's got almost no chance to win a general election. The average Canadian is too far to the left.

I also like Sheer so he's my #1. I think he's got a great shot at winning a general election.

Sheer's friendly and pleasant demeanor will also win over the less politically active voter, particularly women, which is area where Harper fell a bit short.

Great, selfless move on O'leary. I definitely didn't expect that, but i understand it. Canada can't afford a Trudeau re-election and Kevin wouldn't bring enough votes from Quebec. Kevin was virtually tied with Bernier and might've very well won the nomination, however, this time there's too much at stake and Bernier has a much better chance to bring more votes from the French-Canadians. Maxime also does indeed have policies very similar to Oleary's; when it comes to The west and oil industries, farmers, economic immigration, less regulations and smaller government. I am voting Bernier and I have a very good feeling that Trudeau will be a one term PM, he won't be missed.

The Canadian political landscape is pretty dead as it is, and there seems no reason here to abandon a habitual position of non-partisanship and conscientious abstention from voting.

'Social conservatism' is a poor description of adherence to Judeo-Christian, Biblically-inspired values. Sometimes obedience to God requires both aggressive challenges to set public opinion, and also radical reform. And it is a big turn-off to see candidates claiming on the one hand to represent evangelicals, and on the other hand championing laissez-faire denying that climate change exists.

As for those who have no god but money, if they gain control of the Conservative party, the party might as well cease to exist. (James 5:1-3) 'Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you. Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth-eaten. I like Kellie Leitch's policies, my husband came from the US and it took a couple of years and he did have a face to face interview. Kellie Leitch said face to face interview and have answer questions about the values of our country I do not see a problem with this. We need to know who is entering our country. If illegals cross the border they are not refugees they are illegals that need to follow Canadian laws. I do not want a New Canada, I want my old Canada back. Respecting each other. That is why I like Kellie Leitch, but I also like Andrew Scheer.

Chong (such a terrible and weak conservative) is not wrong about losing, but I disagree with his plan. He was right, going in weak, Liberal lite, guarantees a loss. What we need to try out, is what if we DO go in with a strong, real conservative choice? We never got to see if an ambitious Bernier type could pick up swing voters.

I'm not a Conservative supporter but question for anyone who is, is it possible Maxime Bernier who won second place twice in the leadership race behind Andrew Scheer, is it possible he comes back to the Conservative Party and tries to get first place or is that done as he went further to the right at least on immigration issues with his PEople's Party campaign?
