From Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare (music from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev:

Romeo:

O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright!
It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night
Like a rich jewel in an Ethiop’s ear;
Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!
So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows,
As yonder lady o’er her fellows shows.

Juliet:

What man is that?

Nurse:

I know not.

Juliet:

O, he’s a stranger here.

Romeo:

[Aside]
She speaks: O, speak again, bright angel! For thou art
As glorious to this night, being o’er my head
As is a winged messenger of heaven.

Juliet:

What man art thou, that thus bescreen’d in night
So stumblest on my counsel?

Romeo:

I know not, madam, by what name you call me:
I know not how to tell you who I am.

Juliet:

My name is Juliet, and I am a Capulet.

Romeo:

O, dear account! my life is my foe’s debt.
