Somewhere not mentioned that I would love to visit in the future is Uji. Its a town slightly south of Kyoto and it seems to offer a compilation of Kyoto's greatest hits, like a central river, many historical elements and nice streets to stroll around. I heard its a nice place to stroll around where the crowds are relatively thin, compared to main Kyoto at least.

Fantastic video 🎉I love the chestnut desserts the best, these are massive I remember having a small one in Starbucks last year, so good, yes I would like to hire a car in Kyoto actually as I was always put off by the way the train doesn't really go places as good as for example in Tokyo, but I do feel like in Kyoto it's a good idea plus they drive on the correct 💯 side of the road 😅
