I swim 1300 meters in 30 minutes. I'm 72. I'm not tired when I finish, and I built up to this over a year. I'm not sure I will be able to improve on this at my age....my form and breathing are as close as I can get to your videos. I swim 9 fifty meter sprints at about a few seconds less than a minute for 50 meters with 30 seconds pause in between to make it a mile total for the sprints make me tired, and i concentrate on keeping a relaxed form when I get tired during sprints. At my age, I'm not sure I can improve on this. I haven't lost or gained a pound, but my posture has changed.

I just wanna say I really appreciate the content you've been making. I always wait for the 'water is 800x denser than air' every time hahaha :D

Dont forget the mastery of an efficient tumble turn and efficient under water phase. Especially pushing hard off the wall and a super streamlined underwaterphase can win you seconds per poollength. This REALLY adds up during the 30 minutes.

11:02 Laure Manaudou breathes every 3 strokes and she was a record holder in practically any freestyle event between 200m to 1500m

1600 yards for me. I'm pleased since only 3 months ago, I could only swim 100 yards continuously. The solution: head position. (52 year old male)

Thank you for the amazing content on your channel! I started swimming about a month and a half ago mainly to lose weight (aiming to lose 75 pounds) and also recovering from a major shoulder and humerus surgery due to a fracture six months ago. My mobility isn’t 100% yet, but I’m making progress. Initially, I was only doing breaststroke, but now I swim non-stop for an hour, doing 20 minutes of breaststroke and 40 minutes of freestyle, covering between 1300 and 1400 meters in total. I don’t take breaks; it’s a constant swim for an hour. Given my conditions and goals, do you think this pace is too slow, or is it okay to continue at this rhythm?”

I am definitely a beginner but I'm working very hard. I do about 1100 meters in 30 mins average now. My goal is to slow down aging, prevent more chronic issues and be as healthy as I possibly can. I go religiously every day except sundays at 5am. Without fail unless my gym shuts down the pool.

I learned to swim as an adult and I want to be able to swim a lap without stopping. I think it’s my breathing and I’m not breathing often enough and extending enough. Will give the every 2 a go 😊

Good video! I like to watch your videos as inspiration before I head out to the pool. They work great for motivation and getting ideas of different thingd to try. 👌

no way is 2m/100m over 30 minutes the average swimmer. I'd say that's quite a competitive pace for amateur event athletes

My best for swimming 1650m is 32m 21s. I have a goal to swim my mile in less than 30 minutes!

I swim 2k in one hour pretty much effortlessly. It's more like a nice stroll rather than a race. the hardest is the first quarter as I'm still warming up. the last quarter is actually the easiest where I usually pick up speed. after one hour in the water I get bored and call it a day. I live in China which also means that I have to swim in pretty dirty water compared to Italian standards. It's way batter to wear foggy goggles and forget about what's rolling on the bottom of the pool 🤧🤢🤮 that actually effects training super badly. I noticed I perform much better when I swim abroad like in Vietnam, Thailand or when I'm back home in Italy. man, the joy of swimming in a nice pool where kids don't constantly cross lanes for fun is priceless 😁

What do you think about switching strokes? I like to do 100 yards (4 lengths of the pool) breaststroke followed by 150 (6 lengths) freestyle. I don’t stop, just switch strokes when I do the turn. Usually do that continuously until swim at least 1600 yards, often 1800. My pace when I combine strokes like that is about 1 minute per 100 yards. I like to switch strokes because it gives me some variety, which helps me do what you called break it down mentally, and because I feel it works different muscles, thus making the workout a true full body workout. Am I wrong about this? Is it better to only do freestyle? What’s the advantage of doing only freestyle?
