I learned to swim when I was 52 years old. It is a challenge lowering the anxiety of being in the water. I'm still not totally comfortable in the water, but I'm getting there.

Never too old to learn. I learned swimming at 62, a year later I mastered all 4 swims, and doing 3.5 km per training session - fantastic, I love it. Hope to come training with you one day

learned how to swim when i was a kid, got held underwater by another kid, stopped swimming. Currently 20 y/o and want to learn how to swim again. This is a comfortable and easy to understand guide without feeling like it's intended for children, good job!

I am 70...happy I found this video today. I start swim lessons on Tuesday... for the 3rd time... to hopefully overcome my fear of water. I love the ocean and want to be able to enjoy it in a more relaxed way. Thanks for valuable information.

I am 26 years old and finally have decided to learn how to swim, for not only myself but a dream career of mine requires me to be able to swim. Thank you for the video, my mother is going to take me swimming next week and I can’t wait to learn

I learned to swim when I was a kid but it’s awesome to see all these success stories! It really feels like you’ve learned how to fly when you get the hang of it!

I’ll recommend this to my mom (64). She feels she’s too old to learn. “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks”. I believe this may help her with her lack of confidence and maybe anxiety when trying to learn how to swim.

Both in our late 50's, my wife and I just love snorkeling but don't actually know how to swim. We never thought that after 8 months of swimming lessons ( which started just last Nov 2022, 2 hrs once weekly), we were very glad that we finally learned to do it. I am comfortable with breast stroke while she seems natural with freestyle in the 25-meter lap pool. Other than our 4x/week gym workout, we plan to make swimming a regular exercise regimen. So, the saying that, "It is difficult to teach old dogs new tricks" is relatively true. The young ones just get to learn swimming real fast. 🙂

I'm 42yrs old and grew up playing in pools and swimming & flipping around freely. It wasn't until more recently when putting my own kids in swim lessons that I realized, OMG I don't really KNOW how to swim!! I'm super inefficient with my kicks and definitely don't do any proper breathing or strokes. Now I want to properly learn and do it for exercise, so thank you for these videos, they're super helpful as I decide whether to invest in lessons for myself.

Thank you so much. I am a 38 year old woman who has never swam or been in my life. I am not even scared of water, I just never got an interest in swimming until now that I have a 6 and 2 year old who love going to the pool.

I am laying on a hammock on the water in Maine watching this. The weather is 82 degrees while everywhere else is about 95. And this video is very calming.

I started swimming during the Labor Day weekend. I don't know why I never thought to buy a pair of goggles until I reached the age of 55, but my inner swim fiend was unleashed. I got a Y membership so I could swim in a proper lap pool (and I even started working there last month). My Swim Pro was key to training myself in the early days. I've taken one round of swimming lessons and start another round next month. Until then, I'm watching Whiteboard Wednesday videos to improve my streamline and to start working on my dolphin kicks.

Bobbing and floating were huge for me. Also getting in a couple times a week consistently

I started swimming recently and the most important tip is to teach the landing position, especially for short people like me.

This is why you should always teach your kids to swim at the earliest opportunity! My auntie started teaching me at 5 years old. It can save your life!
