All public betas are free to use, but if you're planning to upgrade, you must have Vista SP1. Otherwise, you'll have to perform a full clean install.

Only if you are performaing a clean install, that will wipe your hard drive. If you are upgrading, your existing files and programs will remain, but be aware some programs may not work after the upgrade. Same goes with hardware whose drivers are not yet compatible with Windows 7.

Virtually all programs that were compatible with Vista should work with Windows 7.

about the expiration of beta on august
does it affect the XP users and if they can use their computers cuz i dont fully understand

Hey i have Windows home premium and if i download this would it be hard?? Also would i havft to download new drivers for my graphics card and everything and would games work lol
