In October 2022 my endocrine knowledge just told me no more animal proteins. My BP is normal, I don’t smoke or drink alcohol, I exercise six days a week. This has truly helped me be able to eat some eggs, a nice piece of fish! Thank you thank you this has truly been awful not eating protein at all!

❤ I am on a solid plant-based plan. No animal protein has touched my lips since October 2022! I just got labs and I’m still spilling protein in my urine! I am on losartan. Had reaction to lisinopril after all of these years. I have diabetes. My A1c is at 7.1 working on getting that lower. It just doesn’t seem like anything high it works! They say I’m in stage three?? I am also a muscular individual that works out six days a week I swim 90 minutes six days a week! I also have a extremely stressful life due to the fact of being visually impaired. I’m doing all that I can for my body to keep what I have, or improve. I know improvement is definitely possible I’m cool with just sustaining. Thank you appreciate your podcast James so much and all the professionals that you have on here. Many blessings to you.

Coming late to the game. This was posted six days ago, but it's a busy time for me...
I saw my dietician today. I don't keep a food diary, I kept one of my old cellphones, and actually use it to take pictures of my meals! We scroll down and discuss anything she finds questionable. I have some food allergies, some "good" foods that I can't stand, and things like hyperkalemia tendencies, severe diabetes, hypertension, and pernicious anemia...she has been a godsend.
Lately, my blood glucose levels AND my blood pressure have been all over the place. She told me today, that my diet is NOT why, and there are just a few small things to watch for. Then she asked me how my SLEEP has been... I started taking naps lately, SO tired... my PCP ordered an echocardiogram.
LVH.😯
I get to see a cardiologist in March! More changes... and I'm like the EverReady bunny, I just keep going....
🤜🤛🧗‍♀️

I get my results of a 24 hour collection in the next day or two. Been following a plant based diet and keeping myself to around 40 grams of protein a day. This will be my first time getting an accurate measure of protein spillage. I am so nervous, but glad to have this information and start down a path of treatment while my GFR is still healthy.
