A very useful answer. I have never feared death because I embrace the unknown. Live every day to the fullest, fill it with adventure! Adventure is the absence of the known and gives life meaning and vitality.

:) You say so, it is your experience.. Mine is another one. My father suffered from a stroke and after that was diagnosed also with lung cancer. When he accepted both and acknowledged that his death was inevitable he died peacefully because he was able to surrender to the

my body is aware of the cycle of the sun and reacts to it. And yes agree that I am only speaking of my own experience and other people have their own. My father told me dying is the same as going to sleep and it gave me the confidence not to fear

Thank you. I have no fear of Death. I have a friend who does fear it, though.
He will face it tomorrow at 6:00PM at the Death House in the Walls Unit at Hunstsville Prison in Texas.

Why is death so scary? Because the image of death is always associated with violence, pain or suffering.Nobody really wants to experience this. That makes it so scary.Death as peaceful and gentle is difficult for most people to imagine.

I'm not scared of death, I'm disappointed about death because I find life so fulfilling and wonderful. I want to keep learning, loving, caring and keep feeling and keep growing and improving. I'm sad that one day I won't be able to hug my kids or my wife, or laugh, or see beautiful nature or go for a walk and hear the birds in the trees. That's what I don't like about death. It robs me of all the beautiful experiences I have that mean so much to me. It does cause me sadness on a daily basis and I am trying to find a way to not feel like that.

As someone with a chronic illness, my fear of death seems quite imminent. Do you have a suggested meditation to help accept chronic illness, and to help eliminate my fear of death?

Dying is dying, you cease to exist. It is not like going to sleep, despite what your father told you. It can be painless and instant, or incredibly painful and slow, dependant upon your circumstances and they are purely by chance.

I think more people are afraid of what happens after death and its a control thing; they can't control it. In death they will have no control. Then if you were raised on fire and brimstone, you know about going to hell that adds to it. People are wondering which way they will go :)

Actually different people's biological clocks work differently. Sleep is not necessarily to be had at night alone, many people's biological clocks are set to sleep several times a day and night. The body actually heals itself during sleep and sleep has nothing to do with death, as death comes when the body is incapable of healing whatever is overwhelming it.

The audio is really heavy on the right side in this video, it's really uncomfortable.

If you are able to sleep and be unaware of your chronic illness you may also be able to achieve the same in meditation. If there then is a moment in which you become aware and can heal the situation is something up to you cause you are unique in your own experience ~:)~

What if death is only pushing away another curtain to reveal a new dimension of living? What if every day is a new dimension? It does not matter when we do not wake up anymore because we simply do not know it. What matters is the moment we wake up and how we fill in THAT waking moment ~:)~
