Filmed in high definition, Growing Up Live was originally released on DVD in 2003 but never on Blu-ray or digitally. The DVD was re-released in October 2016 alongside Blu-ray and digital download versions, for the first time.

In 2002 and 2003, following the release of his album “Up”, Peter Gabriel went on the road with his “Growing Up” tour, once again collaborating with production designer Robert Lepage to create a spectacular and theatrical live experience.

The tour took in thirty-two cities across the USA, Canada and Europe with the Growing Up concert film, directed by Hamish Hamilton, being shot over two nights at the FilaForum in Milan in May 2003 with Peter Gabriel and the band performing “in the round” at the centre of the arena.

Still Growing Up, also directed by Hamish Hamilton, features footage from over 20 shows and festivals across Europe shot during June and July 2004.

Peter Gabriel aged better than fine wine. These lyrics were not just on-point but borderline prophetic for this era. His husky voice on this track delivers a huge impact - and backed up by years of dedicated performance. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up with this and Salisbury Hill.

I saw this tour at a stop in Tinley Park Illinois. Red Rain was the first song played. There was a torrential downpour happening during the song. It was raining and blowing so hard that I got wet in the middle of the covered seats of the venue. Just as the song finished so did the rain. The sun peeked out just before it was to set and the sky literally became red and pink. It was the most amazing concert experience of my life.

My wife and I had 3rd row seats and saw this performance when it came to Denver. It was the best concert Ive ever seen.

Who's still listening today? Loved all that Peter put out. Al the songs remind me of my childhood growing up in the 80's, this generation will never understand what we had then!

The groups of today can never be compared to the groups of the 70’s & 80’s. Groups like Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Queen & Rush will never again be seen or heard on this planet again. There was so much meaning in their songs that spoke to the issues and problems that were going on in the world back then. The bands today rate maybe a 2 on a scale of 1-10, IMO. The above groups of those times are & will be forever the greatest bands of all time. I enjoyed those times so much, there are no words to describe how much I miss those days. Seeing those bands live was an experience I will cherish till the day I die, which is not far off unfortunately.
