Poor lady. She seems so sweet and happy, but her house is a horrible mess, it's disgusting... she can't be mentally well at all.

Just saw her today. Ive known her for almost a year, as she comes to my place of work now and again. Very very kind lady she is. After seeing the show last night, from 2013, I decided to ask her how things are going now. She is doing fine and told me her house doesn't look like that anymore, she keeps it clean

Her illness is really severe for her to say that she cooks for family and friends when she can't open her oven door and has no water.

OMG this might be the worst house they've ever shown. Literally every inch of her house looks covered in three feet of garbage. And she sounds delusional. The way she was giving the "tour" of her kitchen was like she didn't even see the mess. I think she still sees what it used to be.

The story does have a happy ending. She got to buy back the house, entirely cleaned out, remodeled, and repaired, for the price that the investors paid to buy the house. She had lost the house over taxes.

This was actually super sad to watch. She obviously has imagined these friends and family that come over while she bakes cakes. Poor thing.

I lived in an environment like this when I was in my early teens due to my father's hoarding habits. It's always seemed odd to me that if you saw most of the people who live in situations like this outside in public, they almost never look like they'd be the type of person who lived like this.
