2 days ago I changed a lot of thing of my Ender 3 (changed the motherboard to 4.2.7, added an extra z axis and installed a Sprite Pro). I was following your videos all along. Thank you so much! Best regards from Chile ;)

Thank you for your videos, you've helped so much with my Ender 3 V2! I love seeing all the latest models and your hair is a brilliant indicator as to how much time has passed since I got my first printer 😅

Great review, as always an interesting video.
Thanks for sharing 🙂

Thanks for the in depth review. I pre-ordered this in the first wave hoping the increased speed at a decent price would give me some printing capacity breathing room before I order another X1-C. Looking forward to getting it hopefully soon.

Another Creality, wonderful. Rather than releasing so many printers, how about they actually focus on building one that actually implements of a wide array of new changes. We don't need new printers every other month - we need robust printers that work reliably, consistently, and without having to upgrade or fix them every other day.

Did you notice the longer nozzle? I think its what they're using on the Spider...not quite a Volcano, but definitely longer.

Possibly changing the standard deviation in the slicer May remove the blobs in case mode. May not be keeping up with the moves as they appear on the tight internal corners.

Great video. What print speed do yo usually use for PLA on this printer?
Would you say its a good idea to use 250mm for infill and support or is it just to fast? Lets say i have outer wall speed to 120 :)

Those imperfections in vase mode look like random generated seam positions. Try to line up those seams on the back or use the "aligned" method. I used the Creality slicer for my Ender 3 S1, and was not overly impressed by the results. I then used the Prusa slicer (with the Ender 3 S1 profile), and got almost perfect results (and better than the gcode models on the Creality stick). So my advise is to check your seam settings and use another slicer. I don't know if there is already an Ender 5 S1 profile available somewhere. And indeed - That Powerloss Recovery is not doing any favors here.

might be interesting to pair with the creality sonic pad

So in your opinion, would you say Ender 3 s1 pro or 5 s1??

12:57 I have experienced this as well. I came across a post once where someone mentioned something interesting about this. The Ender 3 v2 neo or the ender 5 s1 come with a power loss recovery setting which create these bubbles. The thing here is that at the very moment when the printer is saving the location where it is, in case of power loss, it stops for a small fraction of a millisecond.. this causes the extruder to push a bit more filament out of the nozzle than you would expect... you can turn it off by adding M413 S0 ;Turn-off Powerloss Recovery to the gcode.

Replace the build surface with one from Wham Bamm. Their PEX build surface holds PETG well, and also PLA (if you use a small enough initial layer value). Once the bed cools, the parts just about fall off, and you can flex the metal sheet if necessary. The magnetic surface that the printer comes with (unless it has the spring clips) will work with the Wham Bamm build plate, or you can swap it out for the one that comes with the Wham Bamm kit if you need to go over 80C on the bed temp. I don't work for, or have any connection with Whamm Bamm, just a happy customer.

You just taught me a way of physically representing data transfer rates from flash storage through vase mode. Kudos Bryan!

I was just wondering if you can spray debonder on the surface like they do for epoxy moldes

I like the Ender 5 S1 that I purchased on sale for $150 off. There are a few things I don't like though. I would have preferred a true Marlin firmware. Also, the firmware does not have a way to load and unload the filament. I installed a enclosure and unload the firmware is difficult without removing the top. I ended up setting up a raspberry pi with octoprint. It should make it easier and octoprint allows me to load and unload the filament.

Great review as always. I am disappointed in this printer as an upgrade to the 5 pro. Why they redesigned the sprite extruder to extend the filament path within the extruder does not make sense. It would also have been better to have dual z screws and get rid of the support brackets.
This is a missed opportunity by Creality to really improve the 5 series printers. I don’t have a 5 pro but I have several 5 plus printers all upgraded with octopus v1.1 boards, and either a Biqu h2 v2 or e3d hemera xs extruders with independent dual z access control with klipper installed.
Come on Creality pick up your game, you have a superb extruder in the sprite as I have on my ender 3 s1, why fix something that isn’t broken.
If Creality are looking to produce an ender 5 s1 plus, I would rather buy the old unit and upgrade myself as you end up with a printing monster that just keeps pumping out great prints.
I would like to see what adding the Creality sonic pad would do to improve this printer!

Now if you change settings through octoprint it does the same thing it pauses if any changes are made
