The Revolution 3 Micro Reg | Horage

The newly launched Revolution 3 Micro Reg is a new technology, a new method of regulation, patented by @horageswiss .

As you know, balance wheel + main spring are normally regulated in two ways by use/adjusting the hair spring or change the weight on the balance.

To change the inertia, both methods to be operated by a watchmaker (granting the standard COSC accuracy levels, -4/+6 sec/day.

As an indicator, only 6% of Swiss watches are within the accuracy standards with Rolex giving a -2/+2 sec/day.

As another example, 'Springdrive' is a hybrid (mechanical/electronic), and gives a -1/+1.

For Horage the question was, how to get to the maximum accuracy in mechanical watches, without losing the 'mechanical' soul?

Horage's Micro Ref technology not only can achieve the best accuracy.

Also keeps it solid across time (whereas a COSC certified movement could with time lose or gain time, even when certified, and require an intervention from a watchmaker).

This technology allows the individual person to adjust and regulate at home, without opening the movement, super safely and it maintains that the watch is still a 100% mechanical watch.

Concretely the tool is a simple piece of stainless steel and ceramic that does nothing day to day, but if you set it to the watch (touching two points of the case).

The tool catches the accuracy, by means of resonance with another small component inside the watch, so that you can adjust the level of accuracy by hands.

The aim is to have the watch at -0/+0 as possible, and for as long as possible.
