For those confused by the ending. Kaido was hallucinating. The hallucination began when he was hitting Luffy while on the ground. So Luffy getting back up and smiling after taking all those hits was all in Kaido's head. For instance Luffy was bleeding, but when he gets up, the bleeding stops. Kaido thought there was finally someone that could beat him, but then snaps out of it and is now back to being disappointed. The man is too strong for his own good 🤣. Reminder that he's is doing all this while still holding up Onigashima

You have to admit, Kaido’s durability and stamina are hella crazy, dude didn’t even slow down or show any signs of fatigue.

God, I wish every episode could be animated like this. Fluid without sacrificing clarity. This one even has good choreography as a bonus.

For those wondering how it’s a hallucination it’s very simple and TOEI did a really great job, when kaido is going for the final hit and luffy just stands their and smiles, he vanished before kaidos hit lands, we hear the vanish sound like laws chambles, and kaido hits nothing, the colours return to normal and all you hear him hit was rock. The fight was so intense he kept fighting after he knocked him out and off

They did a great job showing Kaido getting fired up and losing himself in the fight, when Luffy got back up smiling I got goosebumps

Okay, I may not know the names of the storyboard artists, the animators themselves, etc., but GODDAYUM, they deserve JUST as much praise as the voice actors for bringing so much OOMF into scenes like this! Without them, we wouldn't have moments like this, not just in One Piece, but animation in general!

The animation for the last few episodes have been phenomenal. Really goes to show the animation team are fans of Wano too and giving this arc the best as possible.

It's not just that the animation is fluid or the fight scenes are impressive. It's the way they're using colour and framing the shots and using perspective that is REALLY impressive. They make every part of the scene look so good, from the lighting to the line art getting rougher as they move quickly, it's just all so good.

That little kick stomp Kaido did was hellah smooth. I wish all parts of every fight was like that instead of looking like a kid is smashing his toys together. As we know from Arcane, micro-movements make ALL of the difference between decent animation and legendary.
