Luffy is like 19 and Kaido is like in his late 50s. For Luffy to be this strong as a 19 year old Is still Incredible I bet none of the other emperors was ever this strong at his age

Its funny how kid wanted an alliance to defeat a yonko, in particularly 'shanks' but ended up joining luffy-law alliance against two yonkos.

Kaido having fun battling with the worst generation. He finally found opponents worth fighting, exactly what he was waiting for. Nice to see the smile compared to the battle with the scabbards. He looked disappointed and bored. Also, no matter what the other people say, the line by Killer in 1:16 is the most badass line in the whole episode. Nice anime original content.

I always loved how real kaido is about things., He isnt one of those stupid stubborn apes who doesnt believe his opponent could be strong, he acknowledges it, and gives respect where its due. He sees that straw hat went from loser too big for his britches who couldnt even make him feel a hit or take even a single shot, to being able to make him bleed, and fast enough to (mostly) dodge the same attack that stomped him flat last time. This is some ichigo/kuchki vibe here. He is still a brat too big for his britches, but at least now he has taken a step onto a stage where he might be more than that to kaido. Of course, he STILL isnt yonko level. But at least he is putting his foot in that pool.

It's so nice to see how our Luffy boy has grown 😭. Remember in his childhood he couldn't take on a fight against Ace nor Sabo despite he having a devil fruit. Ace even claimed that" rubber was not meant for battle." But yet Luffy never dropped his hands he worked so intensively, that he started to defeat small guys like Aarlong, went on to face the world government, punched a celestial dragon, stood head to head vs the 3 admirals damn, knocked out an observation halo pro like katakuri and now is considered a worth man of fighting Kaido😭. How could Ace, Sabo, Dragon and even Garp not be proud of this guy? Seriously Luffy I am all with you in this fight knock out this cow face and that "Mama" shouting granny. Long live the future pirate king

A great scene. ODA tends to have these moments throughout the series where challenges are initiated and characters begin clashing through the use of conquerors Haki. It happened with Mingo, Katakuri, and now Kaido; when two kings meet, there can only be one ruler… and that’s the beauty of One piece. Slightly tilting to the ground, “I feel a tinglingly sensation in my skin.” Interestingly enough even Kid who also possess conquerors Haki almost fainted when Luffy and Kaido clashed.

I fucking love how Kaido laughs at 1:04 shows he’s actually getting excited for once about a fight. Also the way they did Thunder Bagua and showed us Luffys Future Sight improved was awesome as well

I really think Kaidou was just referring to pirates. Garp definitely is someone that could rival if not beat Kaidou but he just mentioned Pirates here I believe.

The equal size of globes caused by luffy and kaido's conquerors haki emphasizes that their will were more or less on an equal tier. This makes even more sense because the moment luffy learned to infuse conquerors haki with advance arnament haki, he was able to fight kaido on an equal footing.

It's still amazing that at the beginning of the fight Luffy could barely dodge hit attacks and by the end he was moving so fast that Kaido couldnt even keep up with him half the time
