Test: Snoke talks Kenobi - Star Wars: The Last Jedi 'Senate Cut' fan edit

Our version of Episode 8 firmly cements the idea that Palpatine is in control of and talking through Snoke, pulling the strings from behind the curtain for years. One of the ways we've done this is to have Snoke mention Obi-Wan Kenobi, and how he hid himself (and the Skywalker twins) away from the Emperor and Vader. Snoke thinks he's speaking of his own agency, but there's a weird sort of force possession going on between Snoke and Palpatine. There's some slight sync issues with this clip that'll be ironed out later.

Clever parallel. It will never cease to annoy me how little the sequels connect to any of the Lucas-films (apart from the superficial stuff like popular iconography).

The voice sound just like snoke... Brilliant work as usual. Hopefully you be able to give snoke a little more screen time.... He was so under used.

I have no idea if you will see this comment on a two year old video, but its always bothered me how the way Snoke speaks changes so much from The Force Awakens to The Last Jedi, despite having the same voice actor. In TFA he has this calm but at the same time sort of mysteriously anciently evil sounding voice that really makes his character stand out, his voice in TLJ is way too agressive and cartoonishly evil for his character. Maybe you could fix this by rerecording his lines with the TFA direction with the actor you used for the new lines? He doesnt hsve that many lines in TLJ anyways. Idk if its doable but I just think its definetly a neat idea that would make snoke feel more uniquely evil.

When working on a fan edit I always set the resolution to 1920-803. It helps lock that 235.1 aspect ratio.
