I hope this never happens to me I will be there all night.

Amazing how he breaks it down, looks complex yet he puts it in simpler terms. The key is the understanding of final checkmate position. He sets that expectation upfront, and then proceeds to show how to not let the king run away.

Hikaru is the living embodiment to the statement: Those who can’t do it, teach it.

I'm having trouble memorizing this video Hikaru ends the video with "that's one way" 😂

I might be able to do it in 200 moves.

He didn't expand on Kc7 instead of Ke8 at 0:12, which is much more difficult to do

If you're just learning this endgame, better not do it this way. This is some GM level stuff. Learn the W method. If you try the above method, you'll notice that you are unable to contain the enemy king like he does.

why move away from the W maneuver?
The start was the W maneuver

In analysis I was messing around and if you make 1 wrong move as white per say, the evaluation is only +2.00. Compared to Mate in 15 or under, etc.,

Against a bot or perfect play, basically you can’t mate if you mess up even once. Which makes this WAY harder than any other mate because there’s a 0 margin of error and you have to know if you messed up in the first place.
