I was once an Atheist. Then at 35 when I thought I had nothing left, not even hope, I saw Jesus. My life made a 180 degree after that. That was the first time I encountered Jesus. There was a second time as I was driving back home. If you are wondering if I was on drugs or smoking something - I don't indulge in either. Faith alone can carry a person through many hardships that people without faith may find unbearable. I have genuine joy in my heart and peace of mind that I did not experience before knowing Christ. I don't have to pray for you to accept Christ. There will come a time, like me, you too will eventually embrace him with open arms. I do agree with you that Faith alone is not the path to my salvation. If I see someone I can help, I must and I do. It is my duty to do so because Christ has taught me through his actions to be humble, loving, and kind. I am glad that you take the time out of your busy life to debunk myths about what it is to be a Christians. Totally agree with this statement. But be careful about the works doing good things even when you have faith, may not be everything you need.. Mathew 7 says Lord, Lord have we not prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and done many mighty works in your name? And I will say unto them, depart from me ye that work iniquity I never knew you. If you do a word study on the word iniquity you will find that it means to be lawless. The word law here comes from the Hebrew word TORAH, the Torah is the first five books of the bible which contain all of YHWH'S/ God's laws, statutes and commandments and Feast Days and Holy Days. We should be keeping YHWH'S law's statutes and commandments and Feast Days and Holy Days. Why? Because 1 John 3:4 tells us that SIN is transgression of the law. I know that the church today says that the law was nailed to the cross with Yeshua / Jesus, but the scriptures say otherwise.
