Sam Shamoun DESTROYS Faith Alone with One Bible Verse

Sam Shamoun cites John 3:36 from the NASB1995 as an alleged proof text against justification by faith alone.

How much obedience is necessary to keep the wrath of God from abiding on anyone? One act of obedience is all that's necessary. It's he that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

You “obey” the Son by believing in the Gospel. Very simple. It’s amazing to me how people like him speak as if they know so much and yet miss something so simple.

All words have a meaning. God is the author of wisdom, understanding and He is truth. You cannot say we are saved by belief in Christ Jesus alone and then say but you must obey Christ in your life to make it.
As Diamante said, to obey the Gospel means to believe it. Bible says so.
It is so easy to go against Roman Catholics, the Greek Orthodox, cults which have clear false gospels but it is much more difficult to differentiate between an almost true Gospel from the only Gospel of Christ Jesus.

I’ve studied Greek, and apeitheo comes from ”a” + ”peitho”, which is literally the root word for the Greek word for belief ”pistis”

Sam is using the NASB to prove nothing faith doesn't require works but true faith creates good works, trust in Christ, repentance and avoiding Sin

There are people who believe but are disobedient so that makes there faith invalid and vain, Paul spoke about this, we can not conclude until we read all scriptures.
There are a set of people who are "the saved always saved" that take grace and think they can trample all over it because of this misconception, is like "I know how to drive so I don’t need to carry my license type thing, only those who LOVE God will understand FAITH!

Galations 2 16 : “ knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the FAITH of Jesus Christ, even we have BELIEVED in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the FAITH of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the law shall no flesh be justified.”
