⬇️The Kon “Mai” Method ⬇️
is my lazier version of the Kon Mari Method that I had a series on my YouTube Channel about a few years ago. My house was a MESS at the time and the first 4 tips I shared in this video were simply not enough for a clutter mountain that had grown SO BIG. I needed a full reset of my home and the Kon Mari Method at the time still felt like more than I could personally handle. The Kon “MAI” method just simplified it and took out the whole “brings joy” aspect. If you want to see my Kon Mai Method series simply go to YouTube and search “Mai Zimmy Declutter” and you should see a TON! :)

The quick recap if you don’t have time:
1. Pile ALL clothes on bed (that way you can’t even go to sleep till you’re done lol)
2. Have keep, donate, and sell bins
3. If you can’t remember the last time you wore it, If it doesn’t fit, or you can just admit you don’t need it then declutter
4. Organize/put everything away. This is also motivation to declutter cause the more you declutter the less there is to put away
5. Follow 1 in 1 out rule so the clutter doesn’t grow again!

A tip for people who struggle with the „declutter“ part:
If it‘s hard for you to pick what to give away, you can just throw everything on a pile and shop in your own clothes! Pick your favourites and frequently used clothes first until there are only a few left you don’t have any feelings towards them. That way you making positive attachement rather than trying to seperate yourself, especially if you are having difficulties with seperating in general. 😊
Also that way you have the instant comparison to how good you can feel about your clothes

I loove the maybe box one! Bc i get really attached to things I frequently see and that way I can put them away. I then look at them again and when I get excited, I put it back in my closet or when it doesn‘t spark joy or i‘m still bored of it i give it away!

I love your decluttering tips but I do think 90 days is too short.

I also saw how people wish there moms kept their clothes from when they were teenagers so I’ve been making a bin to put all my favorite clothes I don’t like anymore or that don’t fit me for my kids❤

90 days method doesn’t work. The weather changes also we have 4 seasons you might need your winter clothes on the winter then your summer clothes on the summer!

Obviously you don’t have to answer, but why don’t you post long form cleaning content anymore? I’m a longtime follower and loved your old videos. Now the only long videos you post is Costco ones and I don’t have one of those anywhere near me.
