Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episode that updates the tale of the unaired TOS pilot, Captain Pike returns to clean up his mess on Rigel VII. Star Trek: Strange Additional Worlds, season 2, episode 4, "Among the Lotus Eaters," is a sequel to the unaired pilot episode of Star Trek: The First Series that reveals additional information about Rigel VII, its people, and Captain Christopher Pike's (Anson Mount) ill-fated first expedition. Pike is forced to confront his faults when the USS Enterprise is sent back to Rigel VII to examine the cultural contamination left by their last mission. "The Cage," TOS' initial premiere, showed the Enterprise recovering after a devastating mission to Rigel VII, which killed three members of Pike's crew and gravely injured three more. As Star Trek: Strange New Worlds bridges the temporal gap between TOS' unaired pilot and its real pilot, there's an opportunity to return to Rigel VII and expand the environment.
