Quantum and optical physics opportunities in New Zealand: the Dodd-Walls Centre.

There is a very high density of research activity in quantum and optical physics in New Zealand. This is based upon a legacy from the likes of Dan Walls, John Harvey, Crispin Gardiner and Jack Dodd. The Centre brings together this capacity and builds upon it. New Zealand contributes in these fields to a level that far exceeds the nation's size and the physics population. It is a great destination to do research, especially for students. Not only do we have this critical mass of capability, distributed in a highly collaborative manner across the countries top universities, but all PhD students are treated as domestic – paying domestic fees and eligible for all scholarships. Come and work with us!
