On 17 November 1921, Professor Robert Jack of the University of Otago sent the first voice and music radio broadcast in New Zealand, right here in Dunedin. Join Associate Professors Harald Schwefel and Jevon Longdell from the Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies as they discuss the advancements that have been made in the 100 years since the broadcast, as well as a brief demonstration from Harald of how information can be sent from one place to another using a modulated signal.
