Here's 1 trick people told me before playing valorant
- don't play the game for your mental stability

The tracker tip is so true. Sometimes I focus too much on the ranks. If I do, I close the app for the rest of the day

The tracker one depends, if you use it to compare you to others that will hurt you, I use it to see how *I* improve, so I can compare my older games with the new ones so I can see if im really improving or its just a fake sensation I have.

I had a tracking app, and saw people leagues above my rank in swiftplay. But I ended up top fragging. I realized I was being afraid for no reason.

Edit - Yes, It was swiftplay. No one is serious in swiftplay. But even then an iron/bronze/silver not being serious <<< Immortal/Ascendant not being serious.

I uninstalled my tracking app recently, best decision I’ve made

i agree, you get intimidated when looking at their ranks, but sometime's you'll be suprised that even you yourself can go toe to toe with that enemy.. it just proves that if you train your mind that you'll do your best, your peak performance might be even better than you expected

The last one is very true. I used to play a game that had mods allowing in match viewing of overall stats, and it was far too common to have a teammate just give up before the match started.

If I see people woth higher ranks it makes me excited. When I win im happier. And when I lose it makes me proud for playing against them.

Never think ur teammates r the problem. In fact for every loss you take try to blame yourself for that loss, even if you did carry, try to spot mistakes and blame ur loss all on that 1 mistake you made. This’ll make you more willing to improve instead of just blaming ur teammates every match you lose

I can support the last tip

I played so bad when all I focused on was raising my headshot percentage in a game tracker. Without it, I play with no worries on how I should maintain actual numbers in a screen.

I roll my eyes every time someone says that "ohh they got a plat we are screwed!"

Just focus on your own game, that is the only thing you have control of...

NGL me seeing a high ranked player as my enemy, makes me think i am worthy enough for the algorithm to fight him

Bro why is ProGuides valorant so much better than any other game of theirs... This is not fair

Lol the tracker thing works opposite for me
When i see someone high rank that me either on my team or on opponents, i feel like pushing hard and do better or win 1v1 with them. And it helped me so much

Honestly, if trackers don’t affect your mental, I think it’s fine to use them. For example if you keep in your mind that ranks don’t always determine skill

in terms of the stat tracker tip, it actually tends to give us confidence, like my mate's like "yeah their reyna is immo" and then they bottom frag. gives us hope in climbing ranked i guess :)
